The Swim Meet

  • This is a short course event, including postal events, to be swum in a 25m pool.
  • Entrants must be financial members of Masters swimming unless entering as a one-off GUEST competitor.
  • Each entrant may swim a maximum of five individual events which may include no more than two postal events.

The Pool

  • The 25m heated pool is located at Yeronga Park, School Road, Yeronga. Parking is available in the dedicated parking lot and in surrounding streets. Food and drinks are available at the kiosk. Some shade is available, however shade shelters from visiting clubs are welcome.

The Program – Saturday 29April 2017, events commence at 2.00pm

  • 1.30 pmswim warm up. Prior to the start, warm-ups may be swum in the 25m pool and the 50m pool. Warm-upsand warm-downs during the meet may be swum in the 50m pool not being used for the competition.
  • Medical Disability Certificates must be given to the Meet Referee before 2.00pm.
  • Presentation of awards and BBQ, music and drinkswill be after events (approximately5.15pm). Great raffle prizes and a money board will be on offer during the Meet.

The Postals

  • Postal events (up to TWO events may be swum 200m event and 400m events are available) must be swum in a 25m pool between23 March 2017 and Wednesday 19 April 2017. The Postal Entries SummarySheetand the Individual Postal Time Sheet may be downloaded from the MSQ website.
  • The Postal Entries Summary Sheet(for club entries) or the Individual Postal Time Sheet (for individuals not nominating through a club) isto be forwardedbyWednesday19April 2017. If you do not send your postal sheet, via post or e-mail to QYP, your times will not be recorded.

The Relays- All relay teams to be nominated by Wednesday 19April 2017

  • Relays count for club points (double individual points). For the mixed relays, each team is to have two female and two male swimmers. Only one relay team per age group per club. Maximum of two relay events per swimmer. Teams to ensure all swimmers are at the marshalling point on time for their swim.
  • Latechanges to team members only mustbe submitted to the Meet Director by 2.30pm on the afternoon of the Meet. The final list of swimmers for each team will then be made available.
  • Clubs should use MSQ Entry Manager or Team Managerto add relay teams and the names of swimmers. Alternatively, the Relay Team Entry Form (downloaded from the MSQ website) may be used and submitted.

  • Entries for all events including the postal and relayevents should be made electronically using the MSQ Entry Manager on the MSQ website or Team Manager.

Fees

Swim only - $20;Swim/meal (BBQ and drink) - $30;Non-swimmers -$10 for a meal.

Sanctioned by Masters Swimming Queensland for Masters Swimming in Australia Inc. - Sanction No. 1/17. By nominating to participate in this

swim meet, all swimmers thereby authorise the Meet Director to take whatever action is deemed necessary in the event of an emergency

and accept responsibility for any and all costs arising from such action. October 2013 Masters Swimming Australia rules apply.

Swimmers may nominate in FIVE individual events, including TWO postal events.
