Fleet LJCC Qualifier

This is a qualifier for London Junior Chess Championships

Sunday 18th September 2016 from 11.00 am to 5.00 pm

Venue: Church Crookham Junior school, Tweseldown Road, Fleet, GU52 8BN.

Entry fee £ 20. Late fee £5 after 11th September 2016. ECF members may deduct £3. Juniors can join the ECF for free for the first year, please see the English Chess Federation Website for more details.

This event will be a unique mixture of competition and training. Teaching in-between matches with, with Grandmaster Nick Pert and International Master Ravi Kumar will be provided.

Please bring a scoring book and a pen to record your chess moves. Please quote your membership number on the entry form if you would like to receive the ECF discount. Under 8, Under 10 and Under 12 Sections. There will also be a separate section for juniors who are playing their first or second event or who are less experienced. All games will be played with chess clocks. Ages are calculated as at midnight 31st August 2016.

Please note that this is not a knockout tournament. All players play in all rounds. To qualify for the London Junior Championships, players in the Under 10 and Under 12 Sections must score 3½ points to compete in the Minor, and 4½ to compete in the Major. An Under 8 player can qualify for the London Under 8 by scoring 4 points. Grading of event by Marc Shaw

Parking is available at the venue. We do not provide any supervision of children between rounds so a responsible adult is expected to stay to look after your children. Light refreshments will be available.

All players will receive a certificate. All results will be submitted to the ECF for grading. The organisers accept no responsibility for any loss, theft or accident during the event. Adult supervision will only be provided in the playing areas. Parents are responsible for their children during the event, and agree to the terms and conditions in this entry.
