1.Contact Human Resources Assistant or delegate

  1. Confirm ‘Welcome Pack’ has been sent
  2. Confirm email, MSI, Hub and Autocentral sign up is complete
  3. Book in sign up meeting with HR for 2nd day

2.Select and speak with Ermha Support (peer from same stream, different team)

  1. Arrange meeting with Ermha Support for first day

3.Speak with team about being available for morning of first day for introductions

4.Ensure that desk and computer is available and set up

FIRST DAY

1.Introduce staff member to team

2.Allow staff member to meet with Ermha Support

3.Complete site tour (either Supervisor or Ermha Support)

  2. Photocopiers and fax machines
  3. Office supplies
  4. Emergency exits and evacuation maps
  5. Toilets
  6. Reception tour
  7. Kitchen
  8. First aid
  9. Desk and workspace
  10. Notice board

  1. Stationary Page
  2. Training Page
  3. Policies and Procedures Page
  1. Autocentral map and key box location

5.New staff member to catch up with Ermha Support

6.New staff member to meet with Site Warden (or Deputy) and learn emergency

procedures

7.New staff member to meet with HSR Site Rep to OH&S procedures (the role of 

the OH&S Committee, role of HSRs, hazard and incident reporting, etc.)

8.New staff member to read Critical Policies(listed on HR 303 F12) 

9.Remind new staff member to bring payroll information, ID, Police Check,
Working with Children’s Check for meeting with HR following day

SECOND DAY

1.Demonstrate Electronic Case Management System

2.Meet with Site Administration/Receptionist (or HR if based at Estate One)

  1. Receive swipe card/s or office keys
  2. Learn Opening/ Closing Procedure & building security protocol

3.Take staff member to meeting with HR Assistant or delegate

a.Sign off on Critical Policies & Employment Contract

b.Receive mobile phone (if required)

c.Provide copy of driver’s license

d.Payroll and required personal information

e.Sign Employment Contracts

f.Provide Police and/or Working with Children Check

4.Meet Finance Manager to learn finance procedures

5.Meet with Head Office Administration/Receptionist

  1. Have Ermha Staff Photo ID made
  2. Add mobile number to emergency SMS system
  3. Add extension, and mobile phone number to Staff Contact List

6.New staff to complete Online Orientation Course (OOC) (May take up to 8 hours)

7.Demonstrate Autocentral and MSI systems

THIRD DAY

1.New staff to finish Online Orientation Course- discuss content

2.Organise schedule to visit relevant external services

  1. First Supervision- Discuss 6(5) Month Qualifying Period
  2. Reiterate that offering a permanent position will depend on the
    supervisor submitting a performance review and
    recommendation to HR
  3. Schedule time for 5 Month Performance Review
  4. Begin 5 Month Qualifying Supervision Contract and Professional Development Workbook (Green Dot) 
