Enhancements

Will all enhancements/fixes be done to both Banner 8.x forms and Banner 9.x pages?

To remain consistent with current practices, regulatory enhancements, Level 1 defects and some level 2 defects will continue to be delivered in both Banner 8.x and Banner 9. New enhancements will only be delivered in Banner 9. It is still to be determined how enhancements submitted via Community Source will be handled.

As an example of current practices, if there is a Level 3 defect found in 7.x, the resolution for this Level 3 issue is only delivered in an 8.x version; there is not a 7.x version of this resolution delivered. This will be the same with Banner 8.x vs. Banner 9. The one difference is the Banner 9 is being delivered at the component level.

Let's say for example's sake that the Student Catalog module has been delivered in Banner 9, and that is the only component delivered in Banner 9. If there is a Level 3 defect found in Catalog 8.x, the resolution would only be delivered in Banner 9 Student Catalog release. If there is a Level 3 defect found in the Schedule module in 8.x, the resolution would still be delivered in 8.x since there is not a Banner 9 delivery for the Schedule module.
