Abstract

This document is part and is in support of the complete proposal described in 802.11-10/432r0 (slides) and 802.11-10/433r0 (text).

This document demonstrates that the complete proposal in question fully meets all PAR, FRD and EVM requirements.

1  Introduction

Unless otherwise noted, any reference to the term ‘complete proposal’ in this document relates to submission 802.11-10/433r0. All the declarations in this document relate to the complete proposal.

This document demonstrates that the complete proposal in question fully meets all TGad PAR, FRD and EVM requirements.

2  PAR and FRD Declaration

FRD.1 / 2.1.1 Maximum throughput / [Req01] / Document 802.11-10/0435r0 show simulation results demonstrating that the complete proposal achieves a maximum throughput of at least 1 Gbps, as measured at the MAC SAP.
[Req02] / Subclause 21.6.3.1.1 of the complete proposal requires that all devices shall support MCS 4 and below. MCS 4 provides a PHY rate of 1.155 Gbps.
Additionally, document 802.11-10/0431r0 show simulation results of the performance of the PHY described in clause 21 of the complete proposal.
FRD.2 / 2.1.2 Range / [Req03] / Document 802.11-10/0435r0 show simulation results demonstrating that the complete proposal achieves a range of at least 10 m at 1 Gbps, as measured at the MAC SAP, in a NLOS channel. This is facilitated by the beamforming mechanism as described in subclause 9.25 of the complete proposal.
FRD.3 / 2.1.3 Video requirements / [Req04] / Document 802.11-10/0435r0 show simulation results for uncompressed video where the required application data rate of 3 Gbps is achieved at the MAC SAP by the complete proposal.
[Req05] / Document 802.11-10/0435r0 show simulation results for uncompressed video where the packet loss rate is kept below 1e-8 for a 8Kbyte payload size.
[Req06] / Document 802.11-10/0435r0 show simulation results for uncompressed video where the delay is kept below 10ms.
FRD.4 / 2.2 Fast session transfer / [Req07] / Subclause 11.34 of the complete proposal describes the mechanism for fast session transfer and multi-band operation.
FRD.5 / 2.3 Coexistence / [Req08] / Subclause 11.35 of the complete proposal describes several supported mechanisms that enable coexistence with other systems in the band, including 802.15.3c.
FRD.6 / 2.4 802.11 user experience / [Req09] / Subclause 5.2 of the complete proposal describes that the network architecture of 802.11 is fully maintained.
[Req10] / Subclauses 5, 7, and 11 of the complete proposal describe that the proposal is fully backward compatible with the 802.11 management plane. The MLME is fully reused.
