Come along to celebrate Halloween at SPARK with your kids. The event is presented by the Brooklyn Children’s Museum. You can decorate a fall pumpkin with your little ones and get all messy in the art studio with gems, glitter and many more colorful items. Kids of all ages can take part in decorating. The entry fee costs $25 per child and $20 for member child, $45 for a family and $35 for member family. The ticket includes 1 child and all adults, additional children will cost $15 each and $10 for members.

Come work collaboratively on the puppets for this year’s Village Halloween Parade! The group theme is “New York Nightmare” involving animals in suits hailing a taxi in the rain.All activities are fun, so please join in for the making and the marching. Little ones can participate in studio activities going on across the museum and create Halloween theme art, from fine arts, to clay sculpture, to animation, and sound design. There is a unique edition of Dance practice in town this week, Dance on a Shoestring is produced, choreographed, and performed entirely by children of Ballet School, which is the official training academy of New York Theatre Ballet.Gather for a great evening at The Dance Gallery and enjoy an intimate evening of dance. Dance on a Shoestring is here to rock with an annual Halloween performance and party! Saturday's performance will be followed by the party, where they recommend children to wear their Halloween costume. Kids can play games, win prizes and enjoy lots of treats! Children of all ages are welcome. On October 27, 2017 the tickets costs $15 and on October 28, 2017it will cost $25 which includes the performance and Halloween party.

Night of 1,000 Jack O'Lanterns

New York City's newest and most anticipated event, Night of 1,000 Jack O'Lanterns is ready to light up New York Harbor, at Governors Island, New York until October 31, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

Come see more than 1,000 illuminated jack o'lanterns carved by artists from around the tri-state area and staged along a festive, paved, tree-lined pathway among the backdrop of centuries old buildings in the heart of the Big Pumpkin, Big Apple, that is! Families will enjoy Halloween scenery and along the way enjoy seeing some of the breathtaking nighttime views of the Manhattan skyline, Statue of Liberty, and you'll pass the spooky Castle Willams, a former military fort and prison built in the early 1800's. See dozens of intricately carved 100+ pound pumpkins on display, these ephemeral works of art are meticulously hand-painted and hand-carved by dozens of artists who put upwards of 20 hours of work into each pumpkin to make them perfect for your enjoyment. The event brings top pumpkin sculptors to carve a dozen of the most jaw-dropping externally carved pumpkin sculptures you'll ever see. There are teams in the place to carve over 1,000 pumpkins for this special event and also enjoy live carving demonstrations when you arrive or before you leave. The 13th Annual Haunted Halloween Carnival of Puppetry Arts is something you should never miss. The first 200 kids can snag Puppetry Arts Gift Bags filled with tons of goodies.
