Thing1: Exploring the Catalog

  1. Open an internet browser (Safari, Google, etc.) and go to the Library homepage.Click on Destiny catalog.
  2. Log-in using your district network log-in.
  3. Search for the book, Wonder, and open the catalog record:

  5. How many pages are in the book? ______
  6. What is the interest level? (either grade or age) ______
  7. What is the Lexile reading level? ______
  8. What is the book’s call number (shelf location)? ______
  9. Search for afiction book about time travel, and open the catalog record for a book that interests you.
  10. Write the title of the book: ______
  11. Who is the author? ______
  12. Write the call number of the book: ______
  13. Locate the book on the shelf, mark it with a shelf marker and show the librarian to get signed-off.

Thing 4: Creating a Thinglink…

  1. You will create a ‘virtual tour’ of the DWJH library.
