The Grand Prix series is structured as one big competition split into a series of 5 smaller meetsover seven months.Dates for this year’s event:

The program series is intended to give swimmers the opportunity to compete in a wide range of events and encourage them to try new events.

Each of the 5 meets will have a restricted program of only a few eventsof varying strokes and distances. They will be held at St Swithuns from 2-5pm.

Each Gala will be ran as 2– 2.15pm 1stWarm Up, 2.15-2.30pm 2nd Warm Up with Racing to commence at 2.40pm.

Swimmers are encouraged to attend all five meets and swim every event on the program…. but they don’t have to! The idea is to score as many points as possible so it is best to aim to do all events with the top 9 of the 14 events scoring towards the swimmer’s final tally. It is a great opportunity for swimmers to attempt events that they have never swum before. All swimmers in Development & Junior Challenge are more than capable of attempting every event but it is recommended that you seek advice from your coach about how many events to swim at GP4.Foundationshould check with their coach before entering 400m free, 200 IM or distance fly.
