Bike Workshop – Sat. May 15, 9:30 or 10 to noon, TCCA. Chris Hebb and Bill Bridge. We can some of repair supplies come from TEC budget and get reimbursed by workshop donations?

Efficient Driving Workshop – Final date and info??? Alice thinks Thetford is in line for one of the free workshops. 15-25 people. Advanced registration necessary. Sat in June, 4 hours. Can save you 33% on fuel.

Thetford Center Community Center Retrofit Update – Our next volunteer workday is Feb. 13. Basement is complete, except for storage shelves. Need to finish caulking in kitchen, bathroom and storage closets, replace stairwell wall board with sheetrock, install sealed/insulated attic hatchway, install fresh air vent, and remove exterior clapboards and drill holes for dense packing cellulose below windows and behind wanescoating.

LED Grant – Bob has been gathering information on LED options. Beta LEDways seem to be product that EVT promotes/supports with incentives. Must meet “Buy America” and reliability standards. Beta LEDways do. CED/Twin State Electric is supplying pricing. Photocell timers to shut off or dim down specified lights in middle of the night may not be cost effective at this time, because current 7 year life span would require maintenance replacement 3 times during 20+ year life of LEDs. Check out sample 20 LEDway fixture installed at Hartford Municipal Building, on right as entering parking lot off Bridge St. Bob is currently seeking clarity from CVPS on potential use of existing light brackets and wiring and costs for installation and hookup.

PACE Grants – Tig is working with VEIC on PACE grant.

No Idling Signs for Thetford Stores - Joel was not present, but we ask him to check at Gnomon for comparison on lamination costs and check with “Build A Sign” () re metal sign costs. Where Scot got tire inflation signs made. Come back to next meeting with pricing and lists of businesses interested. We will decide if TEC will cover any of the sign costs.

Nuclear Power – Do we want to have an evening discussion on sources of power?

Tip of the Month – Outdoor motion sensors and LEDs.

Next TEC Meeting Date – Tuesday, March 9, 5:30, Town Hall.
