THESPRING 2018 GRANT CYCLE

Grant Application submission date is April 15, 2018

The mission of HTSDEF is to cultivate and enhance learning opportunities for Haverford Township students outside the district's core curriculum by funding grant proposals to achieve this purpose. We are reaching out to our community offering Mini-Grants of up to $1,000 to individuals who endeavor to inspire and motivate our students.

WHAT: Proposals can cover a wide range of possibilities. Some examples include educational exhibits, educators-in residence, artisan demonstrations, community service activities, computer projects, music projects, or writing workshops. An independent review committee will award grants up to $1,000.

WHO MAY APPLY: Teachers, students and staff members in the schools in the School District of Haverford Township, as well as parents of students in the district and community members may apply.

CRITERIA: The Grant/Project Committee of HTSDEF is looking for programs that will help to:

Support or supplement district programs

Bring innovative ideas into our schools

Increase goodwill by creating a community program.

AMOUNT AND TIME FRAME:Grants will be awarded up to $1,000 and must be completed (funds distributed) by the end of the 2019-2020 school year.

PROCESS:Proposals MUST be submitted by email to: byApril 15, 2018.

The number of awards will be subject to fund availability and the discretion of the HTSDEF. All applications are processed through a blind evaluation.You may be contacted for additional information. Funds will be disbursed in stages upon documentation of expenses.All equipment and/or program materials remain the property of the School District of Haverford Township. Note:All applications must be submitted by email in a text document and may not be hand-written.

Grant Application

Any project receiving funds from the Haverford Township School District Education Foundation is required to submit a written evaluation of project outcomes within a month of its completion. Photographs of any activities are greatly appreciated.

Projects conducted wholly or partially during school hours or requiring physical space, existing technology, staff, or property require approval from all appropriate school principals, who may email their approval to .

The purchase of any technology item (iPad, SmartBoard, Photoshop, BrainPop subscription, etc.) fully or partially funded by any Education Foundation grant requires the approval of the Haverford School District Director of Technology, Ms. Jane Greenspun (contact information below) who will review the application and present a recommendation to the independent grant review committee.
