Junior *Star* of the Month

Our feature Junior Girl Scout of the month is Allie.

My name is Allie Clark, I am9 years old and havebeen in Girl Scouts since I was a Daisy. I like to go swimming and roller skating. My favorite subject in school is Math. I have a little brother, Ian, who is three and a sister, Beckie, who is five. My favorite food is doughnuts and Girl Scout cookies. My favorite thing to do in Girl Scouts is crafts.

October 3 – 27–Be A Reader Program

  • Order taking for magazine subscriptions, candy and nuts.

October 16, 2005 – Outdoor Fun in the Sun – YoloCounty1:00 – 4:00

  • 11:00 drop off at ToddValley Fire Station
  • 5:00 pick up at ToddValley Fire Station
  • Cost is $10.00 per girl which includes lunch

Sharpen your outdoor skills and prepare for troop camping. Make your own snack in a box oven, tie knots, and create trail signs for other groups to follow. Junior Girl Scouts will earn the Outdoor Surroundings Badge. Fee includes snack, program and badge.

October 28, 2005 Overnighter at Veterans Memorial Hall -

  • Drop off at 6:00 Friday evening
  • Pick-up 8:30 Saturday morning

This event is all about having lots of fun. Thanks to Wendy Cutler we will learn how to care for our skin and other beauty tips. Please bring your own sack dinner.

October 29, 2005 Haunted House hosted by Cub Scouts

  • This is a community service event at ForesthillElementary School
  • 5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
  • Troop #544 will be working a face painting booth and possibly guiding people thru the haunted house.

More Information

This year will be a little different. The girls are now old enough to start choosing badges and activities they would like to do. The troop is for them!

Kelly is now “Troop Camping Certified” so get those warm sleeping bags and camping gear out we’re ready to go!! Let us know where you’d like to camp out.
