1 Gabriel:
Our story begins with a messenger from God
An angel named Gabriel with wings and a rod.
God sent him from heaven with a message for Mary
His job’s so important he must not tarry.
2 Mary
Here is a teenaged girl named Mary
Kind and loving and about to get married.
When Gabriel comes the room is so bright
He says, “You’re having God’s baby and it’ll all work out right”
3 Joseph:
Don’t worry Joseph, Mary’s baby is a king
So marry her now and give her a ring.
Baby Jesus will need you for a dad
So do what I tell you and you’ll be very glad.
You’ve been ordered to Bethlehem so go there now
There’s a clean stable with sheep, doves and a cow
4 Jesus
Wow it’s a birthday box-what a joy!
And inside is Mary’s baby boy.
It’s Jesus, he was born on Christmas night
To grow up and love us and make everything right.
5 Shepherds
Out on the hill the shepherds saw a great light
Angels singing to them in the night
The angels said, “Baby Jesus is born; he’s down in the stable
Run to see him as fast as you’re able”
6 Wise Men
Far to the East were three men oh so wise
They’d been studying the stars way up in the sky.
The birth of a KING– one special star told
They brought Jesus gifts- frankincense, myrrh and gold.
Mirror
Inside this box is something different, it’s true
It shows what God wants and what He wants is you!
God doesn’t want play stations, ponies or cars
God loves and wants you– you’re his real special star!
You make God smile he loves you so much
And you can love others with nice words and kind touch
So look in the mirror, hold it close and you’ll see
What God wants for Christmas is you and me
