Theresa Richards was recently appointed to Corporate Director, Strategic Initiative for Ministry Health Care. In that role she provides coordination and management of key strategies necessary to prepare Ministry Health Care for health reform and the delivery of accountable care. Theresa’s [Terri] focus is on organizing Ministry Health Care’s system-wide approach to care coordination and enhancing the care delivery processes.

Terri began her career as a staff nurse and has moved through a variety of hospital leadership roles. She has been in an executive position with Ministry Health Care for the past 30 years. Prior to current corporate role with Ministry Health Care, Terri served as Executive Vice President at Ministry St Joseph’s hospital where she helped champion a number of key system initiatives to include service line development, development of the medical transportation system as well as physician integration strategies. She continues to work closely with the physician leadership of the Marshfield Clinic facilitating care integration and performance improvement efforts to enhance the overall delivery of care to patients. Marshfield Clinic was one of the 10 participants in the CMS Physician Group Practice demonstration project.

Terri earned her Bachelor’s of Nursing Degree from Viterbo University in La Crosse, WI and a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis MN. She has served in a variety of board leadership roles for the Wisconsin Hospital Association as well as in her community. She also serves as a volunteer at the St Vincent DePaul Free Clinic in Marshfield.
