MINUTE OF THE 2NDCOMMITTEE MEETING HELD ON 17TH OCTOBER 2014, FRIDAY AT 12.00 NOON AT THE SILK GARDEN, SUTERA PACIFIC HOTEL, KOTA KINABALU.

The president, called the meeting to order and welcome all members present to attend the2ndCommittee Meeting.

  1. WELCOMING SPEECH BY THE PRESIDENT

President, Mr. George Ng Aun Heng called the meeting to order at 12.15 pm and welcome all the Committee members, advisors and invited guest, Dr. Samuil Mopun from Veterinary Department and thanked him for attending the SWIFIN2ndCommittee Meeting.

Minutes of the previous committee meeting which had been circulated to all committees was read by the President, were then confirmed by Mr. Teo Sin Chung and seconded by Mr. Daniel Ng.

PRESIDENT REPORT

President, Mr. George Ng requested Dr. Samuil Mopun to share to the tableinformations regarding thecourses seminar on Edible Bird’s Nest (EBN) Industry.

4.SECRETARY’S REPORT

Secretary Ms Shirley Abin informed the Committee the new SWIFIN Whatsaap Group and the admin is the President himself. The used of this media social in group chat, is good and beneficial to all members to sharesome important information and latest news update of this industry, or anything related to it.

Secretary also informed the meeting that the courses which already been mentioned by Dr. Samuil Mopun will be posted in our SWIFIN website (swifin.com.my) after the meeting and encouraged the Committee, members and advisors/invitees present to share the info to our other SWIFIN members.

5.TREASURER’S REPORT

Treasurer Mr. Tan Haw Bin reported on the income and expenses as at 16th October 2014, the income from the Associate and Ordinary Membership fees received amounting RM 7,850.00 and the expenses is RM 6,205.21.

Lastly the balance in bank account as at 16th October 2014 was RM 4,024.70.

6.ADJOURMENT

There being no other business, the President called the meeting to adjourn at 1.45pm with thanks to all members.
