There’s been a Murder
Mustard is down. The network has been taken out from multiple attacks, all data is lost… Or?
Suspects all report calling for help but in the pandemonium of the network crash its unclear whose message reached the law first. Due to the nature of Mustards research, “special forces” have been called in to take over for the police and our suspects have been taken away for interrogation!
A mysterious helper has been assigned to assist you cracking this case, and will provided you with recovered evidence as it is recovered from the crashed drives.
Organize your detective agency and log into the TEAMS coms.
Goal.
As clues become available, your job is to put a time line together, so we can track our suspect activities. Who has motive, and who has opportunity?
You will be given a form to fill out Friday where you place evidence exhibits (A,B,C – 1,2,3)into the order you think they occurred in. You make your accusation as to who you think is the murderer is, motive and how they did it along with supporting evidence.
Points are awarded for being first to crack a clue, getting items right in the time line, and solving the case.
There will also be “mystery questions” to answer and Easter Egg points along the way – so keep your eye out for anything unusual.
The team with the most correct timeline / solution /clues cracked wins our deepest gratitude, admiration and year long bragging rights to “being slightly better than everyone else”.
Clues.
Each day new clues will become available. Mostly by attending scheduled events. Some clues will require investigative “cracking”.
First to crack a clue, post “how” they cracked the clue on there blog and link to it via coms gets the points. You are not required to divulge the clue itself – your “how 2 guides” should be enough.
Points are based on the quality of your how 2 explanations. Quality communication is always a priority.
If you crack a clue in a significantly different way than the first person to crack a clue, post your work around for second place points.
Our own forensics department will be working on cracking the clues as well, all clues will be made available EVENTUALLY.
Working with other agencies.
You may team up to crack a clue with another team. You may do this ONCE during your investigations. Photographic evidence is required for proof of team work.
Interfering or deliberately misleading a team will result in a loss of points. Play fair.
Coms
You will require access to the TEAMS account. Coms is active and the phone app useful. Use at any time, however take note not all comments will be answered due to time space and planet rotational angles. Professional supportive communication is welcome. It’s not face book, Rule 3 does not apply. Keep it clean, play nice or enjoy your ban.
There will be points awarded to the team for “best use of coms”.
