DBQ

The following directions must be followed to receive credit:

*entire assignment must be typed

*the 2 DBQs must be completed in full

*look under FILES on webpage-print out Industrial Revolution

DBQ 1and 2

*Type answers to all document questions. You don’t have to answer in

full sentences. There are 9 documents to answer for the first dbq and

8documents to answer for the second dbq.

*Include ALL documents in each essay.

*When you use information from a document put (Doc # ) after the

sentence(s).

*To receive full credit you must include a relevant amount of outside

information in each essay.

*Outside information consists of facts pertaining to the essay question

but NOT INCLUDED in ANY of the given documents.

An example of outside information can be knowledge from class or the

textbook.

*Whenever and wherever outside information is included in the essay it

must be UNDERLINED.

*All rules pertaining to the form of an essay apply.

Indenting each new paragraph-separation of ideas/examples into

different paragraphs-grammar-spelling

*Must be handed in ON TIME!

POWERPOINT

The following directions must be followed to receive credit:

*Create a PowerPoint using one of the chapters covered so far in class

this year. This would include chapters 18, 19, and 20.

*The size of each PowerPoint will vary because it is based on the

information covered in each chapter. Some chapters are longer than

others or the information may be more complex in certain chapters.

Further explanation and/or evaluation may be necessary under such

circumstances.

*Things I will be looking for in each PowerPoint are:

-chapter is covered well-facts are correct-organization of

information-clarity-spelling-presentation-proper use of the

PowerPoint program

*Information can be provided in a variety of ways

-full sentences-bullets-fragments-etc.

*The use of any or all of the following is suggested:

-pictures-graphs-maps-charts-sound-music-color

-CREATIVITY

*When using pictures or images make sure all are identified in some way.

-For example name of person, description, title, under/above picture

or image

*Include sources used on last frame of PowerPoint

*Make sure you save an extra copy in case I have any technical

difficulties trying to open your PowerPoint. Some versions of

PowerPoint will not open unless the computer being used to view the

presentation also has the older or updated program downloaded.

Having an extra copy of your PowerPointto convert to the correct

version will ensure you receive credit.
