BUILDINGCODE ACT

13.-(1)Ordernotto Cover.An inspector maymakean order prohibiting the covering or enclosing of any part ofabuildingpendinginspection.

13.-(6)Orderto Uncover.A chiefbuilding official who has reason to believe that partof a buildingthat iscovered or enclosed hasnotbeenconstructed incompliancewiththisActor thebuildingcodemayorderthepersonsresponsiblefortheconstructionto uncoverthepartattheirownexpensefor the purpose ofaninspection if,

(a)thepartwas covered or enclosedcontrary toan order madeundersubsection (1);

(b)thenoticewas notgiveninthetimeprescribed by by-law orregulationmade underclause 7(e);

(c)a reasonabletime wasnot allowedafterthe notice was given foraninspectionto be carriedout; or

(d)theparthas beenconstructed without a permit being issued. 1993, c.23,s. 13.

As authorized by the Ontario Building Code Act. Section13(1) this will serve as an official "Order notto Cover".
