ANDROID Based SURVEILLANCE

THEFT INTIMATION OF VEHICLE OVER ANDROID SMARTPHONE

ABSTRACT

The aim of this project is to use wireless technology to intimate the owner of the vehicle about any unauthorized entry. This is done by sending status to the antherother mobile using android smart phones. An added advantage of this project is that the owner can send status which will helpto find the vehicle.

As the crime rate is going up, security system for vehicles is extremely essential. In this proposed system if someone tries to steal the vechicle, the android mobile sendstatus to who are all having same application they will receive same status which was send by the owner. If the reciever saw owner vechicle he can reply his status. The owner receives the status that his vechicle is stolen. He can then send back a call to the police to ‘find his vechicle’. The Android mobile interfaced to the reciever, receives the message, the output of which activates a mechanism that inform the vehicle status. The project uses network for making communication with one user to another.

Thus, owner of the vehicle from anywhere can find his vehicle. This project can be further enhanced by integrating a GPS system, which will give exact position of the vehicle in terms of its latitude and longitude. Further this data can be sent to the owner via status who can enter this value on Google maps to get the exact location of the vehicle.

Existing System

The existing system was, Car alarm techniques are used to prevent the car theft with the help of different type of sensors like pressure, tilt and shock & door sensors.

If Owner vehicle has been stolen then he/she must be file FIR to the police station.

Disadvantage

Drawbacks are cost and cant used to find out the thief, it just prevents the vehicles from loss.

Owner must give statement to the police and wait for action that will take from the police.

Owner doesn’t have knowledge about his vehicle until the police take action.

Proposed System

Real time monitoring of the vehicle will greatly enhance the possibility of detection, prevention and recovery process.

For this system to be effective, the monitoring needs to be android mobile so that only the statuses are reported to the owner of the vechicle.

Receiverstatus that helps in monitor the vehicle in real time, Any deviations, whether it is a communication failure or detection of a theft condition, would be intimate to a predefined set of persons instantly and appropriate actions are taken.

Advantage

Owner will know current status of his vehicle information.

Owner can monitor the vehicle location and reports are forward to the police. It might be helpful for find his vehicle.
