Theatre Scholarships
For returning students
Who is eligible: Any returning student with a declared major or minor in Theatre (including Musical Theatre and Dance) Scholarship recipients must have and maintain a 3.0 GPA.
To Apply: Complete a Returning Student Theatre Scholarship Application. Applications should be submitted to the Chair of the Theatre Scholarship Committee (John Mariano). Sign up for an interview or audition time. Students may choose to do both a Performance Audition and a Design/Tech Interview.
Applications must be submitted by April 20.
Performance Emphasis
Returning second year students will prepare one 2 minute monologue, returning upperclassmen will prepare two contrasting pieces totaling no more than 4 minutes.
Musical Theatre Majors
Returning second year students will prepare one 2 minute monologue, returning upperclassmen will prepare two contrasting pieces (one monologue and one song) totaling no more than 4 minutes. Piano and Boom Box provided. Please arrange to bring an accompanist.
Dance Minors
Prepare a dance piece totaling no more than 3 minutes. Boom Box provided.
Design/Technical Theatre Emphasis
You will have a 10 minute Portfolio Review with the Scholarship Committee. Be prepared to present and discuss your materials.
THE AUDITIONS AND PORTFOLIO REVIEWS WILL BOTH BE HELD ON APRIL 29TH, 2013.
