Art Exhibition Submission Form
SUBMITTING YOUR WORK: Please read through this form before submitting your entry.
When submitting your entry all applicants must supply examples of their work, either supplying 2 images with the entry, by email or reference to a website. Any images supplied will not be returnable. Unfortunately we can not view your work in person.
Places are limited and will be allocated by selection. Selection decisions are final. Unfortunately we are unable to enter into any correspondence regarding selection decisions.
Each picture that you exhibit must be entered onto the entry form; art works that have not been entered will not be exhibited on the day.
Your entry as it appears on this form, together with titles of work and their prices will be used as final copy for the catalogue. Amendments cannot be made once entered. All work must be original. Photography and computer art is also permitted. With the exception of Box Canvases all paintings exhibited must be framed.
PRINT BROWSERS
We are offering artists the availability of a print browser in order that mounted originals or prints of their work may be offered for sale. All works must be mounted and wrapped in cellophane, and clearly labelled with a title, artists name and price. The browser will be placed by your hung work. All items sold from the browser will be subject to a 20% commission. A list of all works presented in the browser must be submitted when your work is hung.
Print browsers will not be manned. Artists leave work at their own risk.
HANGING YOUR WORK
Exhibition hanging time will be on Thursday 13th August between 3.30pm-5pm and on Friday 14th August between 8.45am-9.30am. Artists will be expected to hang their own works at the specified times within their allotted space.
All works sold will be paid in full to The Ilkley Art Show. Cheques will then be paid out within 3 weeks of sale less 20% commission taken.
The exhibition fee of £39.95 for space only, or £56.95 including browser is to be paid on booking.
Any unsold work must be collected by the artist between 4pm & 5pm on Saturday 15th August. Artists who do not collect their work may be charged a fee of £20 to cover transportation & storage.
The number of original works you choose to exhibit is only limited by the space provided, but must be displayed professionally. All work must therefore be contained within the allotted space, if your work is large please indicate when you apply so we can accommodate. Only 1 space per artist is permitted. Examples of the spaces available can be seen on our show website
We reserve the right to exclude from the exhibition any work deemed unsuitable. We also reserve the right to rearrange work where we see fit to help enhance the overall professional aesthetic of the exhibition.
If an artists’ work is not selected, or if the exhibition is fully subscribed you will be notified by 1st August 2015 and your full payment returned. The last date for entries is midnight Saturday July 4th 2015.
EXHIBITION AWARDS
This year we shall award 3 prizes generously provided by Winsor & Newton, Derwent and Daler Rowney. These will be – Best Picture In Show, Favourite Artist in Show both voted for by the public and Best Newcomer To Ilkley Art Show as adjudged by our expert panel.
ARTISTS LIABILITY All care will be taken to ensure works are hung safely and securely. However we cannot accept any responsibility for any loss or damage to any exhibit that may be caused. Therefore artists exhibiting must make their own arrangements for adequate insurance.
