THE WEST BEND INVITATIONAL

SITE: The West Bend High School Natatorium. The pool is located on the west side of our double school
complex. The pool is 25 METERS. There are eight 7-foot wide lanes with 6-inch non-turbulence
lane guides. The pool is 4 feet deep at the starting end and 12 feet deep in the diving well. The
starting blocks are 30 inches high with a 10-degree tilt. There is one one-meter diving board.
The timing system is a Colorado System 6, with an eight lane read scoreboard. The seating capacity is 300.
TEAM: Arrowhead, Fond Du Lac, Hartford, Madison Memorial, Whitefish Bay and West Bend
TIME SCHEDULE: Building Opens: 6:45 a.m.
Diving Warm-ups: 7:00 a.m.
Diving Sheets Due: 8:00 a.m.
Diving Competition: 8:30 a.m.
Coaches Meeting: 11:15 a.m.

Swimming Warm-ups: 11:30 a.m.
Swimming Timed Finals: 1:00 p.m.
RULES: The meet will be governed by the National Federation of State High School Swimming and
Diving Rules and the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Rules.
ENTRIES: PLEASE, SEED IN YARD TIMES!
1. Entries must be received by TUESDAY, JANUARY 19, 2016.
2. Entries are final on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. As in the past, only substitutions for illness or injury will be accepted after this time.
3. Entries may be FAXed to 1-262- 335-8241.
4. Please submit entries on enclosed entry form only. This form is necessary for entering information into the computer. Please keep one copy for yourself.
5. Please submit Substitution Sheet at the beginning of the Coaches Meeting so changes can be entered before the start of the meet.
6. Please use the following Order of Events:
(1) One Meter Diving (6) 100 Butterfly
(2) 200 Medley Relay (7) 100 Freestyle
(3) 200 Freestyle (8) 400 Freestyle
(4) 200 Individual Medley (9) 200 Freestyle Relay
(5) 50 Freestyle (10) 100 Backstroke
----20 minute break--- (11) 100 Breaststroke
(12) 400 Freestyle Relay
7. This is a 36 individual entry OPEN FORMAT meet, including diving, WITH ONE EXCEPTION BEING THE 400 FREESTYLE. EACH TEAM IS PERMITTED 3 ENTRIES IN THE 400 FREESTYLE. TWO ADDITIONAL ENTRIES WILL BE ALLOWED IF ALL THE SEED TIMES ARE FASTER THAN 5:30.00.
8. For Relay events, each team is allowed 2 relays per relay event.

Individual awards will be issued at the conclusion of the following
event.
SCORING: Sixteen (16) Place Scoring will be used.
DIVING JUDGES: There will be seven judges selected from the teams entering the diving event. Please
Prepared to judge.
OTHER: (1) BRING YOUR OWN LOCKS and TOWELS.
(2) Use the locker room assigned to your team.
(3) Athletes and Coaches are to stay in their respective team areas.
(4) Please instruct swimmers regarding horn starts, recalls and the proper touch pad finishes.
With our Colorado system, swimmers must touch the FRONT of the pad. If they touch the
top the pad will NOT be activated.
