RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

Entries are accepted and admission granted only subject to the following conditions, which are deemed to have been accepted by each competitor.

  1. Neither South Berks Branch of the Pony Club, or any judge or any steward, officer or servant shall be liable for anything that may happen from any cause or circumstances whatsoever to any person, animal, article or property.
  2. It is a condition of entry that each competitor shall indemnify the above mentioned against such matters aforesaid.

3. Non-members of the Pony Club should be aware that they are not covered for personal liability under the Pony Club insurance policy and should therefore make their own insurance arrangements.

4. Correct riding attire must be worn by all competitors in line with the Pony Club rules.

No earrings or any jewellery.

a) Hats to PC standard must be worn by all competitors whether or not they are PC members (approved to PAS015:1998, EN 1384:1996, BSEN 1384:1997 AND with BSI Kite Mark, or Snell E2001with official Snell label and number, or AS/NZS 3838:1998 or AS/NZS 3838:2003) and must be correctly fastened and wornby all competitors at all times when mounted. Failure to do so will incur elimination.

b) It is strongly recommended that body protectors are worn when jumping

5.a) Show jumping classes will be run using Pony Club 2014 rules.

b) Dressage classes will be judged using Part 5 of the Pony Club Dressage rule book 2014.

A copy of the 2014 rule books will be with the secretary.

6.The organisers reserve the right to amend the schedule.

7.The judge’s decision is final. Any objection must be made to the secretary with a deposit of £10 not later than 30 minutes after the end of the class.

8.The organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry without stating a reason for doing so and also reserve the right to eliminate any competitor who in their opinion places her/himself or others in danger or fails to observe rules.

9.All entry fees must accompany entry forms. Telephone entries will not be accepted.

10.Entry fees will only be refunded on production of a vet or doctor’s certificate within 7 days of the competition. The organiser reserves the right to withhold £2 per entry if the entry has to be cancelled for any reason.

11.a) Horses or ponies must be 4 years or over on the day of the show.

b) No Horses or ponies may be ridden other than by the competitor on the day of the competition and no lunging is permitted on the showground.

12.The organisers have taken every reasonable precaution to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid or prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and officials and stewards.

13.Horses and ponies must be ridden at a walk unless in a competition or warm-up area.

14.DogsMUST BE KEPT ON LEADS AT ALL TIMES.

15.All droppings to be picked up and taken home.

16. No horses/ponies are to be left unattended when tied to the lorry/trailer.

17.In the event of cancellation notification will be posted on the South Berks PC website. Monies will be refunded less £2 per entry administration fee.

Class 2A: PC Novice Eventing Test (2013) or BD Prelim Test no 18(2002) and showjumping 85cms
Class 2B: PC Novice Eventing Test(2013) or BD Prelim Test no 18(2002) - dressagetest only

Class 3A: BD Prelim Test no 7 and showjumping 75cms

Class 3B: BD Prelim Test no 7- dressage test only

Class 4A: PC Introductory (2007) and show jumping 65cms

Class 4B: PC Introductory (2007) - dressage test only

Class 5A: PC Walk and Trot (2013) and showjumping 50cms

Entry Fees: Classes 1A-5A;PC members £18 per class

Non PC members £20 per class

Classes1B-5B;PC members £11per class

Non PC members £13 per class

Clear Round Jumping (9am-3pm)

£3 per round, rosettes for every clear,the course will reflect the jumping height in the main arena.

Rosette to highest place SBPC member in each class

Early entry is strongly advised – classes will be closed when full on a first come first serve basis. Entries are strictly limited and there will be no entries on the day. Classes may be run in sections depending on entries.

Only dressage classes 3,4 and 5 may be called.

All classes are on grass.

Dressage and Show Jumping timeswill be available on South Berks PC website from 6pm Thursday 22nd May 2014. (
