The way school board superintendents are now, in areas of corruption, did not exist in such pervasivenessas in the past. That is no matter the job, whether religious or not, whether under oath or not, there are always people who like to make things only or foremost better for themselves. Fortunately, I know quite a few very descent, honorableSuperintendents. Most Superintendents arevery ethical and moral people. I know about a few more who are not. Saw a few of them get away with it and do it in other states. As you know, one in New Jersey, came toNJ from another state and in PA, at it again.

There are 2/700, in New Jersey are now under investigation. One, madedeals to get two kids of a woman into his school system, illegally. The other for insurance fraud, with another woman. Why? Don't have a clue.Now our NJ government is on a search for more. Public Money and Public Law are often at cross points, yet the intent is better than written law. The illegal mind is so crafty, to look innocent and act guilty.

Some are managed by others who are crafty got bucks folks. We had presidents under this system.

Since there was no COLA, this year, and the firstsince 1975, and seniors only received two flat checks that will not increment social security next year, perhaps that needs to be in consideration of discussion re: all non union salaries, not only of the Super. All administrators who are his cabinet level, particularly. I don't think Principals should be in their same category, unless the salaries of the Principals are higher than is the norm. Are your Principals and Supervisors in an association? No consideration is given to reality of the here and now, then when the situation improves, you know dollars will be taken from education for administration if they are doing it now, with the World Language, Spanish program..

Most of all that the super is the CSA or Chief School Administrator who leads by example for the sake of the 21st Century. How is this analyzed and how does the self evaluation by the Super to the Board projecting this? How does the board self evaluate themselves and their full board?

Re: the Super:

S/he is to provide on a daily basis to all students in the district, whether they are there in the district or sent out of district, in order to get the maximal or most optimal form of education as per each child's personal learning styles. Do you believe that is what the Superintendent does primarily?

Then the Super is to give all the tax payers the best bang for the buck and towork so well within the entire district, that cost either are maximized or go down as they give thorough and efficient education to each of their students, while providing a safe, and sensible work environment for all employees. Does your Superintend net do that?

Then the Super is to make such great use of taxes, that the investments improve their savings, and this in turn becomes tax savings for the local tax payers? Does your superintendent do that?

Then the Super is to improve the richness ofpublic education to bring lauds and praise to our students, groups, individually and by class so that the over all learning improves to mastery level as per profiles and portfolios as well as standard grades. Does your superintendent do that?

Then the super is to lead the administrators,faculty, staff, and all who support local public education to such an extent that each one and collectively, these people move from good to great in coordination with district goals, mission statement and policies of the district. Does your superintendent do that?

II your superwho is supposed to be 60/60/24/365 for your district with all designees,and your super does do this, then an increment is included. But the incrementis at the amount the current taxes will allow. There is no magical percentage. S/he must be awarded in concert with the awards the district receives, and this includes prudence with funds used/not used to enhance the overall district. Unless s/he meets all criteria, and the goals the super set and gave to the board, in accordance with the strategic plan, of long term goals, then salary changes are related. The salary should go down if not. That rarely happens. That does not happen while community people have their salaries go down or out. .

If your Super does everything well, then a salary can be incremented. However, in this age, the Super and the Board should not agree to a significant or any increment, if there are deficits, period, in good or bad times, but certainly in bad times.

No she is giving you power of influence.That is:she believes others listen/read/believe what you write is the issue here. She showed it by acting upon her reaction.

In this time of job losses, there is no reason for her to keep giving herself raises or recommending to the board to do so. Especially when the senior citizen population did not receive any increase in social security, inthe first timein 35 years. That is since 1975.Many people lost their jobs, in 08 and 09 and some before as the recession was trickling throughout thiswhole decade and began in the 90s.Among those who kept jobs, a significantnumber of the workers, hadtheir salaries cut; their benefits were decreased. Tor those who found jobs, many are working for salary only, at less than their previous salaries, for example many salaries are 30% of what they made just a few years ago, and they get no benefits.

It is time for the Superintendent and all her non union staff, who are in leadership positions, and/or make over x amount of $ for example $100,000. to take no increase or take a percentage cut.

That she is afraid of that, means she does not understand or get they come firstbefore her own comfort. That is taught to all Superintendents, at the local, state and national levels.Her community is her employer, with thevotes of the board members, who represent the community.Their need to protect their children and their homes is to be that all adults, especially her, care first and foremost for her students, employees and their teaching/learning milieu. It is as basic as that. If not, then any salary she takes, is not working in the school community, at all. All people need to know that she understands this and lives this with them. That may help her to understand that her fear is the reality of her losing her desire for a great salary and benefits. She could really be a leader if she could grasp and live within this new reality called marked recession that has only to compare to the 29 crash and the 30s depression.

Suggest she Join the rest of the population to know how to become a miser, with one self. It is good self discipline.
