The entrance to the Showground is located on the main A 39 from Wadebridge to St Columb.

There will be communications at each check point except CP 4.

All master cards must be filled in and presented to the secretary when collecting your number bibs. It should be noted that there is an EGB rule to have your horse’s Log Book with you should the veterinary surgeons wish to look at past vet sheets at the pre vetting. There is also a legal requirement to carry your horse’s passport whenever you travel your horse.

There will be a deposit of £1.00which is refundable when returning your tabard, but should riders wish to donate their deposit this year the chosen

FarrierHorses’ hooves (no oil please) to be inspected by the farrier before the veterinaryinspection.

Veterinary Inspection

Please make sure you complete your vet sheet and take it with you when yougo for your Veterinary Inspection. Pleasure Riders will be trotted before and after the ride without a saddle and will be expected to complete the course at 8 to 12 kph(5 to 7.5 miles per hour)

New standards for endurance riding hats :

Hats bearing only the EN1384 or BSEN1384 standard will no longer be accepted.

However, hats would be acceptable if they carry EN1384 or BSEN1384 and another standard such as those listed:

• PAS 015 (1998 or 2011)

• VG1 01.040 (2014-12)

• ASTM F1163 (2004a or 04a onwards)

• NELL E2001

• AS/NZS 3838 (2006 onwards)

It is the rider’s responsibility to ensure that their hats comply with the new standards.

Facilities at Venue

Toilets, water, medical cover and a catering service offering hot and

cold food. The Trail Riders Fellowship will be marking and de-marking

the course and will assist in the event of an emergency.

Farlap will be our official photographer on the course.

Rider’s CrewsPlease display your yellow crew card in the window

of your crew car. You may not crew in a horsebox or large van.

CREWS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO DRIVE IN THE FORESTRY

WOODLAND. THERE IS NO CREWING AT PAWTON SPRINGS.

CREWS WHO DISOBEY THESE INSTRUCTIONS MAY CAUSE

THEIR RIDER TO BE ELIMINATED.

Good places to crew are at the entrance to Hustyns Wood C/P 3,

The entrance to Grogley Woods and C/P 4. Crews must respect the

local residents, their verges and their property.

SHOWGROUNDLorries must be parked on the hard standing.The secretary of the Showground has specially asked that riders andtheir crews collect any dung deposited by their horses and pick up

any litter.

RIDERSRiders please note that there is 2-way traffic between CP2 and CP5. Also note that 40km classes ride Hystyns Woods loop twice whereas 32km classes leave it out altogether. 51km class include this loop thefirst time but not the second.

Please do not gallop or trot past any walkers when in the Forestry.We hope that gates will be open but any found closed MUST BECLOSED BY YOU. (there are probably only two gates).

Class 10 riders must walk from CP3 across the fields, keeping tight to the hedge, until you reach the woods.

CLASS 2,64kmRide 32km REDroute, excluding Hustyns Woods loop at CP4, vet at the venue and then ride the same loop again.

CLASS 34, 51 kmRide RED route up to CP5, including Hystyns Woods loop at CP4 the first time, then ride the BLUE loop but leave out CP4 and Hystyns Woods loop this time, then continue to CP5 and back to RED route to venue via CP2.

CLASS 56,40 kmRide the RED route, including Hystyns Woods loop at CP4 twice

CLASS 7,8&9(PR) 32kmRide the RED route once excluding Hustyns Woods loop at CP4

CLASS 10, 16km PRFollow RED route from venue to CP1, CP2 and CP3. Then take GREEN loop to CP2 and then back to venue
