Vine Hopper

The Vine Hopper is the only way to experience the Stellenbosch wine Route by hopping on anywhere and hoping on any time on our route!

The Vine Hopper has 2 routes with each of the routes visiting 6 very different wine estates in the Stellenbosch region. The farms all hve their unique styles and attractions that can be enjoyed while being on the Vine Hopper route.

Some of the highlights of the Southern route include seeing some game at Vredenheim, enjoying a Brandy Tasting tour at the Van Ryn Brandy Distillery where the cooper shows off his ancient art of barrel making, go pet a Cheetah or Eagle at Spier or just relax with a chocolate and wine tasting at Bilton wines. Kleine Zalze is always a great way to end the day with a delicious wine tasting overlooking the Stellenbosch Mountain

On the Northern Route you could visit the Bergkelder with its spectacular maturation cellars below Papegaaiberg, or have a relaxing lunch and tasting at Beyerskloof, famous for its Pinotage. Simonsig with its great wine and views or Knorhoek , a family owned and operated wine estate with a small intimate wine tasting area. For the more energetic, you could always rent a bike or go on a hike at Delvera after doing a olive tasting at the Olive shed. Delheim is the last farm on the route and a great way to end the day with a glass of Spatzendreck and views to be remembered!

The Vine Hopper costs R200 pp for a day ticket making it the most cost effective way to experience the Stellenbosch Wine Route. You can then decide on what you want to do on the different farms and pay for tastings, tours or activities as you go along.

This is a great way to still be independent and not linked to a group but having the comfort of being transported, enabling you to enjoy your tastings at your own time without worries of how you are getting home!
