Sustainability in practice

As a family business, Viessmann particularly values responsible business activity aimed at the long term. Sustainability is already firmly anchored in the company’s principles. For Viessmann, sustainability in practice means harmonizing economy, ecology and social responsibility throughout the entire group, allowing today’s needs to be satisfied without adversely affecting the livelihoods of generations to come.

As an environmental pioneer and technological pace-setter of the heating industry, Viessmann has been supplying especially low-emission yet energy-efficient heating systems for oil and gas for several decades already, not to mention solar thermal systems, wood combustion systems and heat pumps. Many of Viessmann’s developments are regarded as milestones of heating technology.

Viessmann’s comprehensive range of products

The comprehensive range of products from Viessmann includes individualized solutions with efficient systems and outputs from
1 to 120,000 kW for all areas of application and all fuel sources. This includes wall-mounted condensing boilers ranging from 1.9 to 150 kW, floor-standing condensing systems ranging from 1.9 to 6,000 kW, and combined heat and power generation units (CHP) ranging from 0.75 to 530 kWel and from 1.0 to 660 kWth.

The selection of renewable energy systems includes solar thermal systems with flat-plate and vacuum tube collectors for DHW generation, auxiliary heating and process heat generation; biomass boilers ranging from 2.4 kW to 50 MW for logs, woodchips and wood pellets; heat pumps ranging from 1.7 to 2,000 kW for the utilization of heat from the earth, groundwater or from ambient air; and photovoltaic systems.

And even when it comes to local heating networks and bioenergy villages, Viessmann is able to provide everything from a single source – from initial feasibility studies and detail engineering, via the supply of all necessary components such as biogas plants, heat generators, combined heat and power generation units, geothermal piping and residential transfer stations through to construction and start-up.

With its comprehensive range of products for temperature-controlled rooms, powerful refrigeration cells and units, refrigeration solutions for the food retail industry, not to mention its range of accessories and services, the Viessmann Group really has the field of refrigeration technology well and truly covered.

Full-range service

Viessmann’s comprehensive range of products extends to keeping a comprehensive selection of additional services available.

By way of example, Viessmann Academy offers a comprehensive education and training program to heating system installers, planners, architects, housing associations, chimney sweeps, technical educational establishments and its own personnel, thus taking account of the growing training requirements of its trade partners resulting from the structural shift in the heating market towards efficient technologies and renewable energy systems as well as the associated expansion of the technological spectrum. Every year, some 92,000 specialists from all over the world take part in Viessmann Academy training sessions.

Viessmann’s range of services also includes providing assistance via its Technical Service department, a demand-oriented software offering, support with advertising and sales promotion, and a user-friendly information and order system available 24/7 online.

“No. 1 professional trade partner” for the 14th time in a row

Our clients have really shown just how much they appreciate us, having voted Viessmann their “No. 1 professional trade partner” for the 14th time in a row. The “markt intern” industry journal conducts a survey once every two years prior to the world-leading ISH trade fair in which several thousand German heating system contractors take part. This involves evaluating manufacturers’ performance in a number of different product and service categories. With no fewer than three top places and one third place, Viessmann once again emerged the overall winner.
