Leading and Managing Educational Innovation

The University of Bath, UK, in conjunction with The English School, Dubai, offers an opportunity for qualified educators to participate in the University’s MA in Education programmes. The full MA programme typically comprises five or six taught units and a dissertation. Each taught unit is followed by individual research and the submission of a 5000 word written assignment. See:

The unit to be taught in Dubai in March will be Leading and Managing Educational Innovation. The unit addresses issues relating to educational change in different contexts and the variety of management strategies that may be adopted. Participants will draw on their experience of educational innovation as well as research, theory and policy. See:

The unit sessions will take place at The English College, Dubai, as follows;

Thursday 11th March 2010:1400-1800

Friday 12thMarch 2010: 0900-1200/1230-1530/1600-1800

Saturday 13th March 2010: 0900-1200/1230-1530/1600-1800

Sunday 14th March 2010: 1500-1900

The fee for this 12 credit unit will be £650 for Home/EU registered students and £800 for Overseas registered students, payable in pounds sterling in advance. You may pay using a variety of methods--please see reverse side for details of payment methods.

There is an administrative charge of 900 UAE Dirhams, which covers the costs incurred by the University and the College in running the unit in Dubai, and this payment should be made direct to Gail Bradley at The English College in cash as soon as you have been accepted on the course (e-mail:).

Students new to the MA Programme must complete all pages of the Part-time Application Form and send this to Kath Earle () so that the University can ensure that they meet the Programme’s entry requirements.
