Invitations for your next Scavenger Hunt

When planning to do a scavenger hunt, whether with children or adults, the first impression of your event will be the invitation they receive. Here are some ideas for types of invitations you can use for your next scavenger hunt:

1.  Store bought invitations – Sometimes these are the easiest way to go, especially when you are always on the go. When your party has a theme, you can easily find thematic invitations at local party stores and online. With cartoon characters, balloons, or simple messages like “You’re Invited” on the front, you really cannot go wrong with ready to go invitations. (If you buy any party supplies online, be sure to leave plenty of time for shipping!)

2.  Computer generated invitations – These are simpler than you might think! If you happen to have card-making software on your computer, making an invitation will be a breeze. With ample amounts of clip art available from multiple sources, you will surely be able to find just the right pictures for your home-made invitations.

In the next few pages, you will find samples of invitations you can send to your party guests for various scavenger hunts. These are easily modified and can be used in a number of ways.

1.  Print them out on an 8 X 10 piece of paper in color for a letter size invitation.

2.  Take them to a copy shop and have them place 4 to a piece of sturdy cardboard. Once cut, you will have easy to address and stamp postcards to send to your guests.
