The Toledo Country Club is located on the Maumee River in Toledo Ohio and originated in 1897. It is the oldest country club in the State of Ohio and boasts of a lengthy tradition providing great service and comfort for members.

The well-maintained 18 hole golf course was originally designed by British Open Champion Willie Park Jr. and was later redesigned by Arthur Hills. The three finishing holes overlooking the Maumee River are arguably the most scenic in NW Ohio. Members have enjoyed the luxury of not having tee times and have been served by Master Professional Donald Kotnik and his staff for the past 43 years. Don Kotnik is retiring at the end of 2014 and a search for a new pro will begin later this fall.

In addition to the golf course, the Club has a swimming pool facilitywhich supports the River Rats swim team,a childrens’ pool, and asnack bar. Further, the Club has 4 har-tru tennis courts staffedby a seasonal professional staff who manage multiple TAIL teams and lessons. In 2013, a significant donation supported the addition of an awning adjacent to the snack bar – creating a casual dining veranda which offers an unmatched view of the river and finishing holes.

The beautiful Clubhouse, built in 1897 by Henry Spieker and designed by George S. Mills has seen and survived numerous changes in its 115-year existence. From windmills and water pumps, ice-houses and horse-drawn carriages, the Club has been renovated, expanded and has reinvented itself over and over again. The magnificent river setting and ambiance of the clubhouse has been a prime location for many prestigious weddings, receptions and social gatherings. Members and guests enjoy our beautiful turn-of-the century ballroom with adjacent formal dining room, both opening to our rear patio and deck overlooking the river and marina. Private dining and meeting rooms also are available including The Centennial, the traditional Grille, The Copland, and The Fireside. The recently renovated Men’s Locker Room and adjacent casual dining area are also cherished offering outstanding views of the river and finishing holes and easy access to the popular amphitheater. Throughout the facility the Club’s Tradition is evident, shaped both by the traditional elegance of the century-old Clubhouse and the attitudes of the Members.

We are looking for a consummate professional who will lead and take pride in our historic facility, with a genuine desire to interact with the staff and our membership in a professional and hospitable manner. This position assumes responsibility for all the day-to-day operations of the Toledo Country Club and would further serve in a culture of strong governance and support from the Board of Directors. Valuable additional support is provided by an energetic, knowledgeable and competent staff. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and expertise.
