Welcome to Running Brook Elementary School!

We strive to support all students and staff by teaching and promoting positive, consistent behavior in all school settings. We have three school rules/ expectations that are reinforced daily in all areas of the school.

Be Respectful!

Be Responsible!

Be Ready!

The Stoplight System

Our behavior plan is called the Stoplight System. This system is based on the colors of the traffic light. Students are encouraged to Go for the Green!

Green:“I am following school and classroom rules.”

Yellow:“I did not make a good choice even after I was given a reminder.”

Red:“I have continued to make poor choices even after I was given several reminders.”

The 3 school rules/expectations we promote at school can also be applied to situations both inside and outside the school building. Here are some examples:

Community: Be kind to a neighbor

Be Responsible
