The Thank You Letter

Imagine that you have just left an interview. You are very interested in the job and want to let the interviewer know this. You also remembered something very important that you forgot to mention during the interview.

A thank you letter gives you the opportunity to follow up on your interview and shows the interviewer that you are grateful for the opportunity to interview with him/her. It also gives you a chance to reinforce those things that you think were most important during the interview.

Pretend that you just left the interview for one of the scenarios on the next page. You are now just going home and will be writing the thank you letter to the interviewer. Using the sample to write a thank you or follow up letter for the scenario you choose.
