Financial update
Balance at bank agreed.
Roy agreed to arrange an independent audit of the year’s accounts.
Summer Event
This has been booked for Saturday 6th August. Sue has emailed many invites to local groups and is starting to receive positive replies. The Bouncy castle has been booked and the need for a supervision Rota for this activity was discussed. Sue has contacted a company with regard to the hire of tables and is awaiting a quote.
Tracey agreed to contact Dunston & Teams Boxing club and invite them to attend again this year.
Mindfulness training
The follow up session to the Mindfulness training day has been arranged for Thursday 9th June at 11.30am at the GP surgery.
Friday’s ‘Drop in’
This week’s ‘Drop in’ will be on the theme of Cancer Awareness with next month’s concentrating on Mental Health Awareness.
Any other business
- Jean requested small items and wrapping paper for the Tombola on Saturday June 11th at the Teams Festival.
- Tracey agreed to produce a small flyer advertising our forth coming Summer Event to be handed out at the Teams Festival.
- Tracey to ask Terry at Redheugh Football club if it would be possible to display our banner in the grounds of the club the week before our Summer Event. The addition of our logo on the existing banner was also discussed.
- Sue informed the Group about the Practice’s involvement in, and the work of Groundwork and Frailty Nurses; the latest Practice news was also discussed.
Reminders
- Carers UK are hosting their annual ‘Party in the Park’ on Wednesday 8th June at Saltwell Park, all welcome. Carers Week 6th-10th June.
- Recovery Walk, Friday 17th June – details available on Our Gateshead website.
- Carerstrust are holding an Open Day Event on Wednesday 29th June, 11am – 3pm, at the Gateshead Clubhouse.
