The Studio Consists of Three Departments: PI COMMERCIALS, PI ANIMATION, PI FILM

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Platige Image is a leading Polish post production studio with over fourteen years experience in the advertising and film market. The studio has been awarded numerous times for work in Poland and abroad.

Platige Image specializes in creating computer graphics, 3D animation, special digital effects and image composition for advertising and feature length productions. Its track record includes several hundreds of advertisements, opening credits, video clips and special projects such as social campaigns, theater productions and ventures commissioned by state institutions. An indispensable part of Platige Image’s activities is the production of animated films.

The studio consists of three departments: PI COMMERCIALS, PI ANIMATION, PI FILM.

PI ANIMATION specializes in animation production, virtual sets (“Tristian” ballet; director Krzysztof Pastor, animation director Tomek Bagiński), concerts (“Seven Gates Of Jerusalem” by Krzysztof Penderecki, nominated by the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for Emmy Award 2009), video game cinematics (“The Witcher“, nominated by the American Visual Effects Society), television series (“Niezły kanał”; director Sebastian Pańczyk, awarded by Annecy FF) and special projects (“City of Ruins”; director Damian Nenow, lead Michał Gryn and “Jan Matejko's Battle of Grunwald 3D”; concept Tomek Bagiński, lead Rafał Kidziński). Amongst independent productions are short animations by Tomek Bagiński: “The Cathedral” (Oscar nominated), “The Art of Falling” (BAFTA award) and “The Kinematograph” (presented at the 66th Venice International Film Festival), Michael Socha's “Laska” (MFF awarded in Annecy) and “Ark” by Grzegorz Jonkajtys (aired during main MFF contest in Cannes)

In the last few yeas, the animation department produced several original special projects for cultural and state institutions. Amongst these productions are “City of Ruins” (for the Warsaw Uprising Museum), “Jan Matejko's Battle of Grunwald 3D” (for the Warsaw National Museum), “Grunwald. 600 year battle” (for the National Culture Centre), “Animated History of Poland” and “Animated Guide to Polish Success” (for PARP). The first two are unique on a world wide scale. In “The City of Ruins”, Warsaw was digitally reconstructed in its entirety for the first time based on archive materials. “Jan Matejko's Battle of Grunwald” is the only transfer of a huge, 42 square meter picture into 3D stereo reality.

PI ANIMATION is also experienced in promotional campaigns and large exhibitions. In 2011 the studio created the “Move Your Imagination” campaign for the Polish Tourist Organization for the Berlin trade shows. The campaign included outdoor within the city as well productions during the opening of the show – an interactive exhibition for five thousand viewers.

PI COMMERCIALS is the oldest department in the company specializing in animation production for advertisements. The studio has realized over 2000 commercials for Polish and international markets. We have prepared commercials aired in Portugal, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, France, Denmark, Russia, UK and USA and cooperate with advertising agencies like Leo Burnett, BBDO, JWL, Saatchi&Saatchi and PZL. Some of the brands we have done commercials for include LEGO, ORANGE, DANONE, AIRWICK, SKODA, FIAT, TP S.A., CANAL+. The department also creates television brand identity (nTV, TVP2, CANAL+), opening credits (PISF, SFP, Multikino) and social campaigns.

Nearly every year our commercial artists are recognized by SAR (Polish Association of Advertising Agencies)and presented the prestigious KTR (Polish Advertising Creators Club) award.

PI FILM handles special effects for feature length films. Amongst them are Andrzej Wajda's “Katyń” (main contest MFF Berlinale), “Popiełuszko. Wolność jest w nas” by Rafał Wilczyński, Lars von Tiers “Antychrsyt” and “Melancholia” and “Essential Killing” by Jerzy Skolimowski (awarded at MFF in France). Platige Image was the co-producer of Paweł Borowski's “Zero”.

Platige Image is also working on its own feature length films. Currently, the company is producing “Hardkor 44”, director Tomek Bagiński and “another Day of Life”, dissector Raul de la Fuente and Damian Nenow.
