The St. Brendan Home and School Association would like to welcome you to the 2015-2016 Kindergarten class. We’re excited to have your child as one of our littlest Dolphins at St. Brendan!
Every summer the Home and School Association (HSA) plans summer play dates for the incoming K children. This year’s dates are:
· June 15th at 6:30pm
· July 10th at 6:30pm
· August 13th at 6:30pm
All playdates will be at the school playground, weather permitting. This is a wonderful way for the kids to meet, calm the first day jitters, and for parents to ask questions of the parents who have older children at St. Brendan.
Every spring we hold a used uniform sale to help you get uniforms at a very good cost. Our sale this year will take place on March 28th in Wellnitz Hall from 9 am – noon. There will be plenty of volunteers to help you pick out the correct uniform for your child’s age and size.
New uniforms will be on sale at the Uniform stores during the months of May, June and July. May offers a 25% discount, June offers a 20% discount and July offers 15% off. They accept SCRIP gift cards!
SCRIP is a way for you to earn discounts off of your tuition at St. Brendan by using gift cards for your everyday purchases. You can find out more on the SCRIP website at: http://www.stbrendanschool.us/scrip
HSA also organizes the Parent Pals program for new families to St. Brendan School. This program matches each new family with existing families who have children of similar ages. Your Parent Pal can help with all your questions and ease your transition to the school. They’re a friendly face at events, sports & school fundraisers. You’ll receive your Parent Pal soon so you can meet-up at the summer play dates.
The first couple months of the school year can be overwhelming, and in an effort to help ease the stress, HSA is hosting a Welcome Picnic for new families to St. Brendan School on August 28th. This is an opportunity for members of the school staff and HSA to introduce themselves, go through what the first couple months will entail for you and your child, and answer questions about this busy time of year. Also, your Parent Pal will join you for some fun socializing and playtime for the kids.
