THE SOUND THAT ATTRACTS HEAVEN
· This lesson is going to put you even more in AWE of God…this is by no means a comprehensive study on the subject of “sound”…it’s just the tip of the iceberg…..OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO how completely amazing our God is! He IS in the details!!
· Hebrews 11:3 “By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are VISIBLE.”
· Think about what that verse says…it does not say that God created everything out of NOTHING…but out of things that ARE NOT VISIBLE…
· Look at Genesis 1:1-2 “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the SPIRIT OF GOD was hovering over the face of the waters.”
· The first thing you gotta have is the SPIRIT OF GOD (Holy Spirit/ Glory of God)…then the next thing is the SOUND…
· Genesis 1:3 “And God SAID, ‘Let there be light: and there was light…”
· Do you get it…He SPOKE…and BANG…the thing He spoke happened
· God’s voice….SOUND WAVES…an invisible thing…
· This is how powerful sound CAN be…but you have to have the presence of God…His Spirit…to cause amazing things like CREATION to happen..
· EX: Elijah commanded rain to stop…and it did for 3 years…Ezekiel commanded dead, dry human bones to come back together….but NOT just because they spoke…they FIRST totally immersed themselves in God’s Glory…in God’s Spirit…then out of that…they SPOKE and THINGS HAPPENED
· Do you see how important SOUND is!!!
· Let’s talk for a minute about SOUND WAVES…scientists have discovered that when you take the smallest atom known (a neutron or a proton) and split it to its smallest form…there is one more particle inside the smallest particle…a vibrating SOUND WAVE
· So the very smallest living substance UNSEEN by the human eye is a SOUND WAVE
· The Bible actually confirms that in Luke 19:40 “the very stones will CRY OUT.”
· God’s SPIRIT hovered…then God SPOKE…and everything was created.
· Ok…look at this….Man was created from the dust…the Hebrew word for DUST is “aphar”…and it does not mean dirt…it actually means “smallest created particle”
· What is the smallest created particle…a SOUND WAVE
· In Psalm 148 God commands the sun, moon, and starts to PRAISE Him…He even commands mountains and hills to PRAISE Him
· THINK ABOUT IT: Only an intelligent God who knows His creation intimately can command seemingly inanimate objects to respond in WORSHIP to Him….in fact…all creation has the ability to hear, listen, obey, respond, and WORSHIP its Creator.
· Jesus commanded the fig tree to die after not producing fruit and the tree OBEYED Him…every living thing can and does respond.
· HARD CORE SCIENCE STUFF: NASA scientists recently discovered that SOUND WAVES of musical harmonious notes were coming from black holes (collapsed stars)…and other experiments revealed similar results from rock samples taken from outer space…..Why would musical sounds be produced from His creation? The Lord commands EVERYTHING to WORSHIP Him!!!!
· Think about NATURE…..have you ever noticed that when you are simply walking alone through nature…that you feel so close to God….I know that every time I travel to Colorado…and I drive through the mountains..I turn on the CD that has “Indescribable” on it…it makes me wanna just cry at how awesome God is!
· The people in the Bible even did this…Jesus went up on the mountain, Elijah did too, so did Moses…John went to the desert…WHY? Cause its so easy to connect with God in a beautiful natural setting!
· Think about this…SICKNESS…what do we do when we are praying for someone who is sick??? We SPEAK TO THE SICKNESS and COMMAND it to go…WHY do we do this?...because every created thing has SOUND WAVES and responds to sound waves that are SPOKEN WITH THE GLORY and SPIRIT OF GOD…
· I’m not talking about just saying words here…you gotta have the presence of the Spirit of God FIRST
· Did you know that doctors even use SOUND WAVES to treat cancer…they use a procedure called high-intensity focused ultrasound, which is high energy sound waves, to destroy cancer cells……….woah!
· So our high-intensity words spoken to cancer cells…in the presence of the Holy Spirit are SO VERY POWERFUL!!!!
· Body parts and creation can hear and respond!!! HOW TOTALLY COOL IS THAT!!!!
· CHECK THIS OUT….how do you think Ezekiel was able to prophesy and speak to bones and say in Ezekiel 37:4-6 “…O dry bones, hear the Word of the Lord!!”
· He didn’t speak to demons or people or angels…he SPOKE to DRY BONES…and when he did, they RESPONDED as proof that they could hear and obey….even the sinews and flesh joined in and reformed
· The Bible says that the earth swallowed up Korah and his rebellion…Numbers 16:32 …was the earth sick and tired of the sin and rebellion?????...doesn’t the Bible even say in Romans 8:19.22 that “creation itself groans with birth pangs for the manifestation of the sons and daughters of God.”
· A couple of weeks ago we talked about the Scripture that says the ground will spew them out…Leviticus 20: 22 “You must keep all my decrees and regulations by putting them into practice; otherwise the land to which I am bringing you as your new home will vomit you out.”
· The Bible even mentions that the BLOOD cries out….Genesis 4:10 “The Lord said, “What have you done? LISTEN! Your brother’s blood CRIES OUT to me from the ground.”……………..to me, if blood is “crying out”…it is making a SOUND!!!!!
· Do you realize that the Glory of God can be carried by INVISIBLE SOUND WAVES???...EX: watching a revival that was recorded many years ago…you still can feel the presence of God when it is replayed on TV…just like when Jose puts our live Praise and Worship set on our website…you can listen to it a much later and still feel the Glory of God come through your computer
· MORE HARD CORE SCIENCE STUFF: Musical notes vibrate at specific cycles per second…when a note or chord is played on a guitar, the corresponding energy vibrates…this vibrating energy moves out into the surrounding environment and enters our bodies and alters our blood pressure, breathing, muscle tension, and skin temperature….a SOUND DOES THAT!!!! WOW
· Music or SOUND has creative…as well as destructive power….many studies have shown that plants exposed to classical music actually thrive and grow faster than plants exposed to no music at all…the same studies have also shown that plants exposed to heavy metal music actually deteriorate and die rather quickly
· Even four-month old human babies INSIDE the womb respond in very specific ways to sound…if exposed to loud music, their heartbeat will speed up…and it slows down when exposed to soft, relaxing music….
· SOUND is an energy we can “feel” as well as hear
· This info is from a “non-Christian” website…”Fine powders, such as sand and iron filings, actually arrange themselves into intricate patterns when SOUND WAVES are aimed at them. Scientists suggest that these changes occur through the manipulation of energy fields. Since human beings are made up of energy too, SOUND has the potential to create changes in us as well. This is perhaps one explanation for the miraculous healings which take place during religious ceremonies…certain sound frequencies have a healing effect on the body’ energy field.”……………..now…they almost got it here…when they were talking about the miraculous healings……the HOLY SPIRIT…plus the SOUND…(either our words…or simply our “sound”) HEALS BODIES!!!!
· God said it would… Job 22:28 ”You will decree (speak or say) a thing and it will be established for you and light will shine on your ways “
· Romans 4:17 “…the God who gives life to the dead and CALLS things that are not as though they were.”
· The VOICE is one of the most powerful forms of human expression….more science here…the voice produces a waveform pattern that contains a great deal of frequency information that seems to relate to the physical and emotional health and balance of the speaker….
· THINK ABOUT IT…how do we put our babies to sleep?...by cooing or singing softly to them….how does fingernails scraping against the chalkboard make you feel?....totally yucky!
· Science has even proven that sound can affect health…and that particular frequencies affect chemical reactions…..
· One of Koreas leading neuro-surgeons was talking to Dr. Cho (biggest church in Korea’s pastor) one day, telling him about how the speech center of the brain rules over all the nerves….Dr. Cho replied that he already knew that…this famous doctor said “how could you, we just discovered that?” and Dr.. Cho said …it’s in James 3:15 “The tongue is the least member of our body, but can bridle the whole body.”
· This neuro-surgeon went on to explain that the speech nerve center had such power over all of the body that simply SPEAKING can give one control over his body, to manipulate it in the way he wishes. He said “If someone keeps on saying “I’m going to become weak’ then right away, all the nerves receive that message and they say, “Oh, let’s prepare to become weak, for we’ve received instructions from our central communication that we should become weak.” They then in natural sequence adjust their physical attitudes to weakness.
· “If someone says ,”Well, I have no ability. I can’t do this job,’ then right away all the nerves begin to declare the same thing. “Yes”, they respond, “we received instruction from the central nervous system saying that we have no abilities , to give up striving to develop any capacity for capability. We must prepare ourselves to be a part of an incapable person.”
· “If someone keeps saying “I’m very old…I’m so tired I can’t do anything”…he is giving his nerves orders to respond that way…this person will soon die….never keep repeating to yourself “I’m retired” cause then you are ordering your nerves to become less active and ready for a quick death.”
· Neuro-surgeons have just recently discovered what the Bible has been telling us for over 2,000 years!!!!!...The bible says that whoever controls the TONGUE, controls the whole body!
· What you SPEAK, you are going to GET!
· This is why…when the presence of God is so heavy and thick in our services…Pastor Donny starts to call for people who are in need (either physically or spiritually) to come forward for prayer….because when the HOLY SPIRIT is hovering…brooding….and then we SPEAK…THINGS HAPPEN!!!!! People are saved, healed, and delivered!
· We must SPEAK under the Holy Spirit’s ANOINTING!!!!
· The Holy Spirit NEEDS your WORD so that powerful miracles can take place….think back to creation….the Holy Spirit was hovering…but nothing happened until God SPOKE!
· We release the presence of Jesus when we speak…Romans 10:10 says “With the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the MOUTH confession is made unto salvation.”
· Have you ever noticed anything like this….Some church’s manifest certain “aspects” of Jesus…some church’s only the “saving” Jesus is manifested because that is what all they talk about in their church…there is no healing or deliverance because that’s not what they “call upon or ask for”….do you understand what I’m talking about???....it’s not a bad thing…it’s just what happens…
· This is why we pray before every service for salvations, healings, and deliverances in every service…and THOSE things are what we have manifest!!!!
· Our WORDS are very, very powerful!!!! SPEAK boldly!!!!!
· You create the presence of Jesus with your MOUTH…if you SPEAK about salvation, the saving Jesus appears. If you SPEAK about divine healing, then you will have the healing Christ come…if you SPEAK about the miracles Jesus performed, then the MIRACLE performing Jesus will appear in your service!
· Jesus is bound by your LIPS and by your WORDS!!! He is depending on us….if we do not SPEAK and DECLARE BOLDLY….how will this generation experience His power?????
· Matthew 16:18-19 “Whatsoever you BIND on earth will be bound in heaven. Whatsoever you release on earth, shall be released in heaven.”
· CHECK OUT THIS…sounds come in all forms….one of my personal favorite forms is LAUGHTER!!!
· When the SOUND of LAUGHTER is shared…it binds people together and increases happiness and intimacy…..laughter also triggers healthy physical changes in the body….
· Humor and laughter strengthen your immune system, boost your energy, diminish pain, and protect you from the damaging effects of stress.
· Nothing works faster or more dependably to bring your mind and body back into balance than a good laugh. Humor keeps you grounded, focused, and alert.
· SCIENCE STUFF: Laughter relaxes the whole body…it leaves your muscles relaxed for up to 45 minutes after a good laugh
· Laughter decreases stress hormones and increases immune cells and infection-fighting antibodies…this improves your resistance to disease
· Laughter triggers the release of endorphins…which even can temporarily relieve pain
· Laughter protects the heart…it improves the function of blood vessels and increases blood flow which can help protect you against a heart attack and other cardiovascular problems
· Laughter dissolves distressing emotions…you can’t feel anxious, angry, or sad when you are laughing…..Humor also shifts perspective…it allows you to see situations in a more realistic, less threatening light…it created a psychological distance which can help you avoid feeling overwhelmed
