YOUR CHILD’S SAFETY COMES FIRST
In order to help insure the safety of your child(ren) every person entering the building at any time during the school day for any reason must report to the office first. Anyone needing to go anywhere other than the lobby must sign in and receive a visitor pass from the office to do so.

Talent Show Is Returning To Harvest Ridge!
Entry forms for the upcoming talent show were sent home last week and are due back to school No Later Than Thursday, February 13th. Tryouts will be Wednesday, February 26th from 4:15-6:00 (or later if necessary) in the Gym. Parents will not be allowed in the gym during auditions. Students may report to the gym at dismissal, but arrangements must be made to be picked up. Looking forward to another entertaining event!
Family Reading Night Is Coming
Mark your calendars on Wednesday, February 12th 6:15-8:15 p.m. for a specially planned reading night. Students will have the opportunity to visit various stations around the building to complete activities & listen to stories. Boy Scouts will be selling hot dogs, nachos and a variety of other items. It should be a fun family event, so please plan to join us.
Read, Right & Run Collecting Shoes!
Read, Right & Run is sponsoring a collection of used shoes for the ‘Shoeman Water Project’. Donations may be dropped on in the container in the school lobby through the end of February. We ask that shoes either be tied together or rubber banded together. Thank you.

Francis Howell School District Science Fair Handbook
The Missouri Tri-County Science & Engineering Fair will be held on Feb. 22, 2014 at the St. Charles Community College campus. Copies of a handbook prepared for district students who wish to participate in the fair is available in the school office. There will be no district level fair for students K-12, so please consider supporting this fair as it opens doors for scholarship opportunities in high school.
Registration for the fair is online & is to be completed by a school building representative/teacher for each project entered from the school. Registration link will be active starting Feb. 1 & end on Feb. 13.
Requesting A Teacher For The Upcoming School Year
If you know your child works more effectively with a certain type of teacher and would like to request this type of teacher for the upcoming school year, please put the following information in letter form or via e-mail to - no requests by name, just the teaching style, discipline style, personality, etc. are to be submitted. All requests are to be submitted to Mr. McCarthy no later than Friday, February 28th.
