Program:
Bill Roberts gave the 2nd annual Pratt Falls Rotary Report. This was a very entertaining report and Bill even talked with a “PrattFalls” voice (see Bill for example). The highlight of the report was when Bill told the story of “Stormy Weather.”
As the Pratt Falls Rotarians gathered for their meeting they saw on the agenda “Stormy Weather”. All of the members assumed that this was going to be some kind of weather report. To their dismay, “Stormy Weather” was the stage name for Irma Winfrey who performed for the group. We don’t need to go into the details of the performance, but I will tell you that Irma later found herself performing in Las Vegas. The next year around the same time, the bulletin for the following week’s performance read, “Stormy Weather”. Needless to say the next week was a packed house with 16 visiting Rotarians, and 23 random men showing up. I think they were a little disappointed when the Al, the local conservation agent, started talking about how animals can predict “stormy weather”.
I think we are all excited for next year’s report from PrattFalls.
Thanks Bill for the entertainment.
