The Road to the American Revolution Open Response
The ideals of equality and personal liberties were the main reason the colonists came to America. Through British restrictions the colonists’ rights and liberties were denied or limited. The colonists’ desire to have individual rights led to the Revolutionary War and the beginning of our nation.
