Total number of the immoveable cultural heritage monuments in Georgia equals 6 981. 497 monuments are granted the grade of national significance. In Tbilisi there are 1 769 monuments of cultural heritage, out of which 4 are granted the grade of national significance. There are 283 cultural heritage monuments in the occupied territories, 79 monuments in Abkhazia (15 monuments are granted the grade of national significance) and 204 monuments in Shida Kartli and Java region (15 monuments are granted the grade of national significance).Three Georgian monuments are in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
