6. / There was a discussion regarding the results of the Patient Participation Survey completed in 2016. It was agreed that the survey could be updated and new questions introduced. There was a discussion about whether the survey should be completed before or after a consultation. GS suggested that Boots, Pharmacy might hand out questionnaires on behalf of the Practice to obtain some “after” surveys. KH said she would enquire with Boots. Each member took away a questionnaire with a view to thinking about any changes to the survey for discussion at the next PPG meeting.
Phlebotomy service changes were discussed. KH said that the CCG had given the Community Trust an extension of time to the Contract to continue to deliver the service while the process for tendering for the service is reviewed. GS said that he would be attending the Stakeholder meeting arranged by CCG to discuss the process for tendering/delivery of the service.
It was reported that the CCG, Wirral Patient Voice Group now have use of a room at Old Market House but no longer have any admin support from CCG. KH said the AGM for Wirral Patient Voice Group is to be held on 23rd May 6pm-8pm if anyone wished to attend.
KH informed the group that Dr Donlan would be leaving the Practice at the end of the month as he had secured a role in Wales. KH said that Dr Corrie will be joining the practice in August 17.
Chaperone training was discussed. KH said that practice staff receive Chaperone training annually, via Blue Stream Academy.
There was a discussion regarding the Federation providing GP appointments outside of core hours. It is thought that the service would be delivered via Hubs across Wirral. / ALL
