THE PNWD-IAI TRAINING SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
This program has been developed to assist Pacific Northwest Division IAI members, in good standing, with the cost attendance at the annual PNWD-IAI conference. Scholarships will cover the cost of full registration (Monday-Friday attendance, workshops, all lunches, President’s Social, and Banquet Dinner) plus $300 toward the member’s hotel stay, when applicable.
The number of Training Scholarship awards available each year will be determined by donations generated at the previous year’s conference (75% of profits to be used for the scholarship). At a minimum, one full scholarship will be offered annually.
Preference will be given to applicants who are self-paying but self-payment is not a requirement for application. Agency-paying individuals are highly encouraged to apply.
This program will be administered by a Scholarship Committee appointed by the President for the term of his/her office in conjunction with the Board of Directors.
The Training Scholarship Request Form will be posted on the PNWD-IAI website and announced in the quarterly newsletter prior to conference registration. Completed forms should be emailed to the PNWD-IAI Scholarship Committee at . Applications will be accepted until February 15, 2018, after which time the scholarship program will close and the winners will be drawn at random from the pool of self-paying applicants. If insufficient self-paying applications are received, winners will then be drawn at random from the pool of agency-paying applicants.
Scholarship Award recipients will be notified by the end of business day February 20, 2018.
An announcement of each year’s winners will be posted in the PNWD-IAI quarterly newsletter.
