Wearecallingonyou,asan Oregon ASCDleader,tonominateschools that havedemonstratedacommitmenttoaction forthewholechild.Tonominateaschool,youmustsubmit by 5:00 pm on February 14, 2014.Although anentire districtmayhaveundertaken exceptionalworkinsupportofthewholechild,the Oregon ASCDWholeChildAwardrecognizesasingle school’sefforts.
Aselectioncommitteewillreviewallapplications and make adecision inFebruary.Thewinner ofthe 2014Oregon Whole Child Award will be invited to the 2014 Oregon School Employee Wellness Conference in Bend (March 23-25, 2014) , forthe award presentation.The winning school will receive a check for $500 to apply to further Whole Child initiatives. Theapplication and selectionprocessarebasedon the indicators ofawholechildapproachtoeducation. Pleaseusethem asareferenceforyournomination.Before beginning the nominationprocess,pleasereviewthe nominator and nominee eligibilityrequirements.
