Activities -

Hello South Broward, I am an addict named Jesse M. April has come and gone and we celebrated our Anniversary in Style. The recent struggle has catapulted some of our newer members into the next era of activities. We now have a vice chairperson, a secretary and even a graphic design artist! We do still need a treasurer and we can always use volunteers to help plan and host events. We are planning the event for June "more will be revealed". Also our T-Shirts raised a good bit of money for the area. I will be turning in what we have already earned today however we still have Shirts available. We have decided not to hold a 4th of July picnic as several other areas are holding their own events nearby. We also are unable to find an appropriate location to hold the event. I will not be attending the next two activities meetings as I have a class to attend. Our vice chair will run the meetings and be in direct contact with me so I will not be out of the loop. Softball has been going on for about a month and a half. I have to say that there has been a good turn out. If you or someone you know is interested in participating in some good clean fun please come on out and join us.

Thank you for allowing me to give back. I will continue to be of service to NA in any way I can

May, 2008

Greetings from South Broward area H&I,

I am an addict named Joey H.

Our last subcommittee meeting was on Tuesday April 22, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. and our next meeting will be on Tuesday May 20, at St. John’s church, 1750 Buchanan St. in Hollywood at 6:30 p.m.

We are currently taking18 active meetings into 10 facilities, and all is well.

We have 1 meeting open at Hollywood Pavilion on Friday night at 7p.m. which needs a co-chair and another at the women’s jail also on Friday nights.

Our BSO representative Annette Allen had requested that our sub-committee to donate some N.A. texts to a new program she is involved with at the jail. I received them from the area and passed them on to her and said she was grateful to the area for their help.

In loving service,

Joey H.
