Washing performance
The Ideal Wash System (IWS) isdesigned to wash every item perfectly the first time - 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.

The pre-wash zone typicallycontains the dirtiest water in the dishwasher and provides the base for perfectwashing.
Unliketraditionalsystems, the Electrolux pre-washiscompletelydetachedfrom the detergentladenheated wash zone water and usesonlyfreshcold water to preventproteinbasedfoodstuffssticking to the plates.
The wash zone isalsophysicallyseparated from the rinse zone, (that in a traditionalsystemiscarried over from rinse area) so the wash tank is free of rinseaidthattypicallyweakens the washingpower of the detergent; resulting in excessivedetergentconsumption.

Evenduring long washingperiodslastingseveral hours, wheretraditionaldishwashersneed to be completelydrained and re-filledat some stage, the IWS continueswashing with only a minimalquantity of waterbeingconsumed.
Each machine hastwopre-set speeds - slow for more baked on dirt, fast for lightersoiling; bothspeeds can be fine tuned on-site via the electronic control panel to suitcustomerneeds.
When the pre-wash or wash water becomestoodirty to wash effectively, a part of the dirty wash water isautomaticallydrained and replenishedwithoutstopping the dishwasherenablingcontinuous-alldaywashing. Drainagequantities and frequencies are allvariable via the electronic control panel in order to maximizewashing performance with minimum water consumption.

On 150 litre modules, the duo wash pump
configurationfeaturesone 2,2kW pump
supplying the upper wash arms, another
1,1kW pumpsupplying the lower wash
arms, concentratingasmuch high powered
wash water aspossible - ideal for dried on
foods or where large number of containers
or utensils are washed.
In order to wash in the shortestpossible
space, the Maximum Water Contact (MWC)
wash armsare positionedalong the full
length of the wash tank. Thusdoubling the
amount of wash water contact time in
comparison to traditional wash arm
configurations. Just because a basket is in
the wash zone for 2 minutes, itdoesn’t
meanitisbeingwashed in water
for 2 minutes.

Washwaresanitisation
The atmospheric duo rinsesystem with built-in air gap is the benchmark for rinsing.
Hot water at a constant temperature in anyconditionsprovides the peace of mindthateverywashed item will be detergent free and sanitised.
The tried and testedtwo stage rinsesystem, the duo rinse, ensures complete detergentremoval with
minimum water consumption - hot rinseeven from the 2nd rinsecreated by additional 3kW electricalelements in the duo rinse tank.
The Energy Saving Deviceisable to pre-heatincomingcold water, saving up to 12kW in energyaswellascondensing the steam in the kitchen.

The IWSavoids the need to completelydrainall the
wash tanks when the water becomestoodirty to wash.
A part of the dirty water, typically 15 litres/hr, isdrained
away and topped up with clean water on a predefined
basis (variableonsite) so the dishwasher can operate
allday. Water savingis up to 30%.
The separate pre-wash zone doesnot use heated water
and thereforerequires no additional water for cooling.
Autostartensures no water and energyconsumption
