Job Description:Reporting to the Industrial Engineering Team, the Production Scheduler will interface directly with all production departments, materials, sales, quality control, and product development to schedule operations and minimize inventory. Responsibilities will include scheduling and planning boat orders, ensuring a timely release of complete production orders, as well as a timely closure of production orders. The production scheduler will be responsible for planning, managing, and optimizing the strategic, tactical, and operational production schedules to meet sales’ and shipping requirements and best utilize Nautique’s capacity constraints. Daily responsibility is focused on but not limited to safety, quality, lean manufacturing, and supporting strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain the master production schedule and prepare production updates as required
  • Optimize factory constraints and minimize inventory to meet sales demand and shipping dates
  • Develop and achieve overall inventory projection and goals
  • Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
  • Performs a wide variety of complex factory capacity planning and production control activities to attain production and sales objectives
  • Assist with coordinating production workflow and ensuring production has all information required for manufacturing
  • Lead the advancement and implementation of lean manufacturing initiatives in production planning
  • Work closely with production departments and sales to plan, communicate, and optimize production capabilities, and model mix
  • Support manufacturing production teams to improve efficiency and resolve issues
  • Analyze existing systems and propose improvements
  • Play a key role in scheduling new products
  • Initiate, plan, execute, and control strategic projects to accomplish operations’ strategic goals Preferred

Qualifications:

  • Four (4) year post-secondary degree, with a focus in industrial engineering, operations research, manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, materials management, or equivalent
  • Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Four (4) year post-secondary degree, with a focus in industrial engineering, operations research, manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, materials management, or equivalent
  • Experience in a manufacturing/operations environment preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of production planning and capacity planning principles
  • Experience with continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, or similar
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work with minimum direction and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to develop positive working relationships with both internal and external customers
  • Advanced computer skills to analyze, organize, and present data and information including Microsoft Office Suite and different ERP Systems
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Visual Basics knowledge preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Must have a team-oriented mindset
  • Fluent in the English language with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A self-starter who takes a proactive approach and has good decision making skills
  • A self-motivated individual who excels in a challenging environment
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to wear proper safety equipment when necessary.
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds may be required when necessary.
