COMMITTEE REPORTS
Legislative Committee
Lee Helms, Dick Pierce, and Art Faulkner gave a report on the legislation. The portion that states that $2.00 per residential line can be charged for populations below 25,000 is hopefully going to be changed to put the cap at 50,000. The part that states that you have 36 months to get on line after you begin charging E9-1-1 fees or give a refund is hopefully going to have the word "refund" taken out. These were some of the significant changes that the committee felt needing pursuing. Anyone with a proposed change was asked to give Art, Lee, or Dick a call.
REGIONAL CONFERENCE COMMITTEE
John Ellison reported on the upcoming fall regional conference. There are 1200 members in the Gulf Coast Region
