Service Coordinator – Brisbane North

Multiple Sclerosis Queensland (MS Queensland) is a well-established not-for-profit organisation providing specialised services to benefit people living with MS and other progressive neurological conditions (PND). We live by the values of Respect, Hope, Commitment and Collaboration.

MS Queensland has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and customer focused Service Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Manager Service Coordination, the role will work in collaboration with the team and the broader community sector in the provision of information, support and services to those affected by MS or other neurological conditions and their familiesto reduce the impact of the condition on their lives. The position is based at our Dutton Park office, supporting customers throughout the Brisbane North regions on a permanent part time basis (68.4 hours per fortnight).

The successful candidate will be passionate about quality service provision and have comprehensive experience in the human service field working with people with disability and/or chronic disease. As a skilled communicator you will establish rapport with people from all walks of life living with PND and be mindful of the principles of respect, self-management and empowerment. You will be skilled in networking, engaging with your community and forming community partnerships in the delivery of services. It is essential that you are self-motivated, a quick learner and possess highly developed organisational skills and the ability to work in a team. Additionally, you will possess the following skills:-

  • Qualifications or equivalent experience in disability or related human services fields.
  • Successful track record in quality client/service provision.
  • Highly skilled communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly, take initiate and be resilient.
  • Knowledge of the disability, health and aged care sector is highly desirable.
  • ‘C’ class driver’s licence.
  • Ability to understand and abide by the MS Queensland’s Code of Conduct and other relevant policies and procedures.
  • Ability to prescribe to MS Queensland’s mission, goals and organisational values.
  • Positive Notice: satisfactory completion of DSQ Criminal History Check.
