Aims of the Meeting

General Aims

  1. To get acquainted to each other as a group or team in order to prepare further communication and cooperation.
  1. To get knowledge about some parts of the pedagogical, social and economical life of the host country Lithuania and its landscape and people in order to follow the European Idea to know and understand each other and to become aware of the country’s situation and problems in education and society.

Direct Aims

  1. To discuss and exchange information concerning the topics of modules Household and Consumption and Enterprise and Production (situation and main problems in the different countries).
  1. To discuss Teaching Materials and exchange of experiences in teaching economics in the various countries.
  1. To enable and motivate the participants to use modules Household and Consumption and Enterprise and Production (especially the Teaching Material) in their own practice of INSET-courses, school teaching and university lectures.
  1. To planfurther regional activitiesand a related feed back, given within second TT, May 2008, Germany.

Organization

  • The Lithuanian colleagues will work out a detailed time table and organize the part of agenda to get knowledge about their country including visits (f. I. Ministry of Education of Lithuania, Teacher Training Center of the University), see above General Aim 2.
  • The experts prepare short lectures to present actual situation and problems in the field of household and enterprise (see above Direct Aim 1). All participants should have read the two modules themselves already before the TT.
  • Direct aim 2 (teaching) should be topic of group work (4 international groups will be established).
  • An evaluation of the meeting will be prepared by the German partner
