GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING

MINUTES AUGUST 7, 2007

The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Commodore Hennig.

Minutes of the July 3, 2007 meeting were read and approved.

Treasurer Abromaitis reported income of $3,945.03, expenses of $19,720.61, and net loss for the month of $15,775.58. Current assets are $152,424.01. This report was approved as read.

V/C Nolan had no report.

R/C Scanlon stated that Boat Storage Day will be September 9, 2007 at 2 p.m.

F/C Exley stated that the clean-up around the grounds went very well. The boat yard is also in very good condition. There are water line breaks, please watch for leaks. In the future, we will need to begin replacing the water lines. Volunteers are needed to replace the high parking lights. Jet Skis need to be in the storage area, not on the grass. He thanked Larry Eslinger for putting down the calcium chloride.

Mr. Roberti, for Planning, said building permits will be here any day. Tom Van Winkle has handled it under his general contractor license. Dennis Steffy is handling the mast rack.

Rich Langer, Membership, stated that there are no new applicants for membership. Michael Vlasov has resigned his Associate Membership. We now have the permits for our pump-out and we can begin.

Bob Soss, Program Chairmen, thanked all who chaired and helped with the regatta. The next event is the Labor Day Breakfast.

Attendance announced that everything is up to date.

Ways and Means is raffling two bottles. The 400 Club will have its next drawing tonight.

The Website is up to current.

Ladies Auxiliary announced the Keg Party on August 18 at the Island House. August 13 is their next meeting.

The Blue Gavel swore in Past Commodore Tuggle into the International Order of the Blue Gavel.

OLD BUSINESS

Alan Exley offered to allow the members to see the permits that were sent to the building department.

NEW BUSINESS

Joe Tomaric made a motion that all the costs of the new shower house budget be submitted to the membership as a line by line item budget. The motion was seconded. A discussion ensued. The motion failed by a show of hands.

GMM: MINUTES, 8/7/07

Denny Sanzobrino made a motion to spend $150 for a 15 gallon electric sprayer. The motion was seconded and passed.

Rich Langer announced that he lost his monthly planner and he needs to know who has rented the club house.

BUSINESS FOR THE GOOD

Butch Wienhold stated that the power washer is in sad shape. He made a motion to buy a new one prior to pull-out. Commodore Hennig will look into repairing the one we have.

Fairport High School Football Coach wants to have a party down here on Saturday September 22, 2007 to watch a college football game. The motion was made, seconded and passed.

Ken Krstolic made a motion to purchase a macerator pump to grind up fish remains. Planning will look into this. The motion was seconded and passed.

Ted Makse requested that people do not use the chairs that are in the coat room. They are broken.

Bob Paige thanked all those who helped with Sunshine Day.

Joe Lizewski said he received a letter from Valerie Dunn Christopher thanking us for all the support.

Guests were introduced, all the raffles were held. The 400 Club winners this month were Joe Tomaric, Rich Smith, Don Babich, Sandy Tuggle, Bob Himes, and Jim Urbanek.

No further business being submitted, it was moved we adjourn. Motion was seconded and passed. Adjournment was 8:20 p.m.
