Basic Corrections Training Program

Reimbursement Rates

The MCJA Board of Trustees voted in favor at the May 2, 2008 Board meeting to accept the recommendation of a Corrections subcommittee that the new Basic Corrections Program (BCOR) reimbursement rate, per 25 MRSA § 2808-A be $4,444 and prorated over a 5-year period and retroactive from July 1, 2007 (see below). The Board has used the Consumer Price Index-All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) – Northeast Region. The 2009 rates reflected a 2.6% increase, and the 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 rates reflected a 0.0% increase. On July 1, 2015, the new BCOR program went from 80 hours to 200 hours, this reflecting the new rates. On September 18, 2015, the Board voted the new rates for 2016.
